Hope Larson interview

radiomaru:

Speaking of Brie Larson, she’s also starring in a short film written and directed by my wife, Hope Larson (no relation!!!!)  Here’s an interview about it, and all about A WRINKLE IN TIME: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL, by Hope Larson, which is in stores tomorrow!!!! (via Badass Digest)

Oh, cool: Hope Larson made a short film with Brie Larson and James Urbaniak! And there’s a poster by Becky Cloonan and Dustin Harbin! And the comics industry is in shambles!  (Well, that last bit maybe isn’t good news, maybe…).  Anyways, I like Hope Larson’s work, what I’ve read of it (I’m not very plugged into the YA scene, I guess, being neither Y nor sufficiently A), so that just sounds pretty cool.

My favorite bit of the Wrinkle in Time was where they see all the kids bouncing the ball.  Not a ton has stuck with me from that book, but that bit did, I guess.  I don’t remember the sequels very fondly though— it was some weird, elaborate let’s-stop-a-nuclear-war thing, right?  I remember getting back to the Great Brain books and the AI Gang books as fast as possible, when I tried reading those…
