I said this on FB but this is the pic that most captures what those of us in LA saw today.  Great work, Sam. This was pretty neat.  I was on a conference call with other lawyers, talking about paper and law stuff, and then everything stopped and we got out binoculars and we all yelled “Look at the Shuttle!  Shuttle!  Wooo,” or whatever, over the call.  That should happen more.  Looking out the window, there were all these people standing on their roofs, running around on roofs trying to get their angles right.  Just all very pleasant.
